SPELL BEE & EXTEMPORE COMPETITIONS

Alhamdulillah, on Friday, 4th August 2023, Ocean The ABM School successfully conducted two engaging competitions aimed at enhancing linguistic and communication skills among students — Spell Bee for Grades 1 to 4, and Inter-House Extempore for Grades 5 to 10.

The Spell Bee Competition provided young learners with an excellent platform to explore spellings in diverse ways, enriching their vocabulary, boosting their confidence, and encouraging the correct usage of English. Contestants were given dictation and asked to spell words with varied pronunciation levels. This activity helped develop cognitive and reading skills, improved memory, time management, and gave students a true sense of academic progress.

Simultaneously, the Inter-House Extempore Competition challenged senior students to speak on given topics spontaneously. This powerful activity fostered quick thinking, creativity, clarity of expression, and public speaking abilities. It served as a great opportunity for Oceanites to enhance their soft skills and express their thoughts with confidence and precision.

Both competitions reflected the school’s continued commitment to nurturing holistic development and communicative excellence in its students.
